How can the University of Michigan encourage and facilitate eating seasonally among students in the residential dining halls?

Use social media sites, like Facebook and Twitter, to promote and inform people of the benefits of eating sustainable foods! (Waters et al.)

- As of 2011, 96% of college students use Facebook
- Low-cost way to allow stakeholders to share progress and ideas, as well as keep sustainable eating as a continually present part of their everyday lives (In other words, so people don't forget about the issue after a day or two).
- Increase transparency about how meals are prepared, and with what ingredients.
- Provide a central area for external links, photographs, what other schools are doing, news updates, etc.
- Display progress made and increase sense of efficacy.
